Designer outlet company McArthurGlen named Tom Enraght-Moony as its new chief customer officer. In his new role, Enraght-Moony will oversee the group’s customer service and brand partnership initiatives. Enraght-Moony joins McArthurGlen from The Leisure Pass Group, where he served as chief executive for the tourist city passes company. Prior to The Leisure Pass Group, Enraght-Moony served as CEO and chief executive of Match.com and CEO at Kano.
Debenhams hired Sara Bradley as its new womenswear director. Bradley joins Debenhams from BHS International, where she served as a consultant brand director.
The Collected Group, Current/Elliott’s parent company, hired Natalie Ratabesi as the new SVP of design at Current/Elliott.
In her new role, Ratabesi will work with The Collected Group’s chief brand officer Sarah Rutson, to manage the design direction of the Current/Elliott’s menswear and womenswear collections starting with the Fall 2018 season. Along with this appointment, Ratabesi will continue to oversee her own line, TRE by Natalie Ratabesi—a designer collection that will be available at Bergdorf Goodman, Forward, Harvey Nichols, Net-a-Porter and Saks Fifth Avenue this month.
Ratabesi’s resume includes previous stints at Alberta Ferretti’s Philosophy label, Oscar de la Renta, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Vince and Yeezy. She succeeds Michele Mantz, VP of design for Current/Elliott’s womenswear. Kirk Von Heifner will remain as Current/Elliott’s menswear designer during this transition.
J.W. Anderson’s chief executive, Simon Whitehouse, is exiting the company in December to pursue other career opportunities. Whitehouse was appointed as J.W. Anderson’s first CEO in 2014, following LVMH’s move to take a minority stake in the label. Prior to J.W. Anderson, Whitehouse held senior leadership roles at Diesel and Mathew Williamson.
His exit comes on the heels of LVMH’s major executive shuffle last week, where Christian Dior Couture and the LVMH Fashion Group announced leadership changes. J.W. Anderson said Whitehouse’s replacement will be announced soon.
Gap Inc. appointed Chris O’Neill to its board of directors. O’Neill currently serves as CEO of Evernote Corporation, where he oversees the company’s product innovation and global expansion efforts. Prior to Evernote Corporation, O’Neill spent a decade at Google, where he held several leadership roles, including Managing director of Google Canada. He also previously served on the boards of Shop.org and Tim Hortons.
The Bailey Group
The Bailey Group, fashion parent company of womenswear brand Bailey44, announced new leadership changes this week.
Peggi Jewell was hired as The Bailey Group’s new president and will join the company this month. Jewell has held previous leadership roles at J. Crew, Kellwood, Liz Claiborne, Lucky Brand and VF Corp.
Roshanna Sabaratnam was named as The Bailey Group’s new chief digital and marketing officer. Sabaratnam’s resume includes previous stints at Gilt, JBrand and Yahoo.
Dick’s Sporting Goods
Dick’s Sporting Goods appointed Paul Gaffney as its new chief technology officer, effective Nov. 20. In his new role, Gaffney will oversee the company’s e-commerce platforms and other technology initiatives. Gaffney joins Dick’s Sporting Goods from The Home Depot, where he served as the company’s SVP of information technology.
Hyosung Corporation announced new executive appointments for its Textiles Performance Unit.
Mike Simko was hired as Hyosung Corporation’s new global marketing director. In his new role, Simko will oversee Hyosung’s global marketing initiatives for Creora spandex and Mipan nylon. Simko joins Hyosung with more than 20 years of textiles experience. His resume includes previous stints at DuPont and Invista.
Deborah Richert was named as Hyosung Corporation’s new textiles marketing manager. Richert, who has more than 20 years of textile marketing experience, previously held leadership roles at New Balance, Nike, Puma and Schoeller Textiles.
Skechers named John Vandemore as its new chief financial officer. This appointment will enable David Weinberg, Skechers CFO & COO, to focus more attention on the company’s global growth and internal operations.
In his new role, Vandemore will be responsible for the company’s reporting and filing obligations, in addition to directing the company’s overall financial policies. Vandemore joins Skechers with more than 20 years of business finance experience, most recently serving as the EVP and division CFO of Mattel, Inc. Prior to Mattel, Inc., Vandemore served as the CFO and treasurer of International Game Technology Plc, a computer gaming machine manufacturer and held various leadership roles at The Walt Disney Company.
American workwear brand Carhartt promoted Tony Ambroza, SVP of marketing, to the role of chief brand officer. As the new chief brand officer, Ambroza will oversee brand engagement across consumers’ journeys—including retail marketing, social media and TV commercials—and grow Carhartt’s Direct to Consumer (D2C) business. Ambroza joined Carhartt in 2010, where he contributed to the brand’s growth and consumer outreach initiatives. Prior to joining Carhartt, Ambroza held leadership roles at Under Armour and Nike, Inc.
Canada-based retail company Reitmans hired Jonathon Fitzgerald as its new group president. Fitzgerald joins Reitmans from Mamas & Papas, where he served as the company’s chief executive.
