Shuffle Board: Primark Taps New Women’s Head, Lectra Names Sales VP for Fashion

Jason Boling, Cherokee Global Brands’ CFO, is resigning from his role on Jan. 31. Boling was crucial to Cherokee Global Brands’ global growth initiatives over the past five years. Cherokee Global Brands appointed Steven Brink to take over for Boling as its new CFO, effective Jan 2. In his new role, Brink will oversee the company’s accounting, forecasting and investor relations initiatives. His resume includes previous stints at NYDJ Apparel, LLC and Quiksilver, Inc. Boling will work with Brink through the end of Cherokee Global Brands’ fiscal year to ensure a smooth transition.

Lectra

Lectra named Nathalie Brunel as its new VP of sales, fashion and apparel. In her new role, Brunel will support Lectra’s subsidiaries and work with China, France, Germany, Italy, the U.K. and the U.S. on manufacturing initiatives. Brunel brings more than 20 years of experience, most recently serving as CEO and shareholder of industrial energy performance company, Okavango Energy. She also held previous leadership roles at Altran and Orange Business Services.

Primark

Primark tapped former Inditex executive Paula Dumont Lopez to lead its women’s wear division. In January, Lopez, who previously served as Zara Basic’s head of product, will play a critical role in Primark’s international expansion efforts, as the retailer seeks to reach more consumers worldwide. Lopez, who has many years of retail experience under her belt, previously held other leadership roles, including SVP of Esprit Woman.

Bershka

Inditex executive Antonio Flórez was appointed as Bershka’s new CEO. Flórez recently served as Inditex’s director in Italy. Prior to this role, Flórez held other leadership positions within the company, including Zara’s commercial manager in Europe. He will be succeeded by Lorenzo Marcheselli, who recently served as Zara’s Europe commercial director. Flórez’s predecessor, Marco Agnolin, is now heading up Diesel as its new chief executive.
