Messe Frankfurt France and WTiN, the World Textile Information Network, have collaborated to launch a new trade fair showcasing digital textile printing, called Avanprint.
The growth of the world production of digitally printed textiles is estimated at more than 20 percent per year, and Messe Frankfurt France said the increased use of digital textile printing on an industrial scale is revolutionizing sourcing— it’s optimizing product development programs, shortening delivery times, cutting excess stock and facilitating the restocking of best-selling items throughout the season.
Avanprint is a new exhibition platform that will allow pioneers of this technology to make direct contact with retailers. The first edition of Avanprint will be held at the Le Bourget Exhibition Center in Paris from February 15-18 2016, alongside Texworld and ApparelSourcing Paris. The latest digital textile printers will be able to display their production capacity and innovative inks and software, among other related products and services, will also be on show.
The trade show is expected to hold 35 exhibitors in a space of 2000 square meters (21,527 square feet).
“The launch of the Avanprint trade fair now offers original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in this field of technology a forum in which they can communicate directly with clients interested in this revolution in textile printing,” Mark Jarvis, managing director at WTiN, said. “Manufacturers, brands and retailers will have the opportunity to get a better impression of the astounding potential of this new printing technology.”
